Just trimmed greenware, day afore yesterday.
Most of the mugs and tiny vases depicted below went to Made In Chico, where they were vanishing with the quickness! Thanks to Made In Chico for carrying my wares again this year, and thanks to their customers for supporting the store and local makers.

↑ There's after glaze fire, unloaded yesterday - last one this year, really pleased with this batch! Dropped of few mugs and tiny vases at Made In Chico yesterday. They are busy!! ↓ There's some pots thrown this afternoon; this time of year, drying is so much slower! Further down is recycled Terry clay - it'll be a few days until it's ready to bag; in August, one day. Hi Joyce!
Hi Max! ↑ Glazed wares ready to load for glaze fire, Saturday last.
The green stuff, wax resist, is what makes the clean edge between the liner glaze and outside glaze possible, err, easier. ↓ MT shelves, waiting on the kiln load, same green ware on the top shelf, for next round, and a newly finished mug with two just thrown forms.. Bowls set to dry after trimming.
The rollup door was open - nice weather. The objects deflect some of the moving air away from the pots, still, I'll give them half a turn every ten or fifteen minutes. Wares in green were on display in the front window yesterday!
Thanks to Made In Chico for displaying my work, their consistent positivity, everything - thank you! Here's a half dozen more wares, dropped off at Made In Chico yesterday. Hover over each image to read the caption, or maximize and scroll through... The taller mug, note the forward lean, "chin up" posture? That reminds me of someone.
The other one, note the wide and thick lid, easily grasped with an open hand - thank Chris for the idea - and, and is handy for parking your tea bag, if you wish. Each posted to their separate destinations yesterday; may they convey our best wishes. Bisque ware, ready for glazing.
There's white, light buff (IMCO "Terry" clay), and a few red stoneware pieces. Sometimes it helps to make with someone specific in mind! This is a thank you gift.
...I've a lot of Thank You and a few other things to catch up on. |
